Per troppo tempo marginalizzate, le artiste di inizio XX Secolo vengono, oggi, celebrate da una vasta mostra al Musée du Luxembourg di Parigi.
45 Pioniere di quelli che sono stati decenni fondamentali nel delineare la storia dell’arte del ‘900 e delle Avanguardie. Dal fauvismo, all’espressionismo, dal Cubismo al Surrealismo, passando per l’architettura, la danza e le ricerche scientifiche, l’esposizione parigina non si lascia sfuggire alcun dettaglio nelle nove sezioni dedicate.
Momento chiave per la ridefinizione dei ruoli, incapsulato in un contesto storico del tutto simile a quello che stiamo vivendo, per questo motivo particolarmente adatto a scuotere l’animo di qualsiasi spettatore.
La mostra è accompagnata da una serie di eventi paralleli, nonché dal catalogo (avvincente quanto un romanzo storico o un trattato di storia dell’arte) e da un documentario: Un regard à soi, realizzato da Anne-Solen Douguet dedicato alle artiste cardine della Parigi degli Années Folles.
Il Musée du Luxembourg è, altresì, una location da visitare grazie alle architetture ad opera di Shigeru Ban, acclamato designer giapponese, il quale accosta linee estetiche eleganti a materiali ecologici.
For too long marginalised, the women artists of the early 20th century are now being celebrated in a major exhibition at the Musée du Luxembourg in Paris.
45 Pioneers of what were fundamental decades in shaping the history of 20th century art and the Avant-garde. From Fauvism to Expressionism, from Cubism to Surrealism, passing through architecture, dance and scientific research, the Parisian exhibition does not miss a single detail in the nine dedicated sections.
A key moment in the redefinition of roles, encapsulated in a historical context that is very similar to the one we are currently living, and for this reason particularly suited to shake the soul of any spectator.
The exhibition is accompanied by a series of parallel events, as well as a catalogue (as compelling as a historical novel or a treatise on art history) and a documentary: Un regard à soi, directed by Anne-Solen Douguet and devoted to the key women artists of the Paris of the Années Folles.
